Carlos Ripollés

Carlos Ripollés is a Partner at Cases & Lacambra in Spain. He manages the office of Miami from which our Firm coordinates and advises interests in Latin America and, at the same time, channels the legal and tax advice of relevant Latin American companies, and family offices.

He began his career in the finance & banking practice area of Baker&McKenzie (based in the Barcelona office). Before joining Cases & Lacambra, he developed his professional career as in-house counsel at the legal department of Caja de Ahorros y Pensiones de Barcelona (“la Caixa) where he leads the Fixed Income Issues legal division, participating in both domestic and cross border issues, listing them in both Spanish and Luxembourg stock exchange dealing with CNMV and CNSF. Later, he joined Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) negotiating ISDAs and managing the position of BBVA in B. Madoff´s ponzi schqueme fraud.

In 2011 he joined Demarest (one of the most reputational law firms in Brazil) leading the Spanish Desk through which provided legal services to both Spanish and non-portuguesse speaker companies who landed in Brazil to develop their business in the region. After 4 years, he moved from Brazil to Oman joining Al Hashmi Law, leading the Spanish Desk as well of said full-service law firm to provide legal advice to Spanish companies willing to invest in the Middle East.

Lastly, in 2020 he started up Meeting Lawyers, a B2B digital consultation company providing immediate response through chat and videocall to any legal question.
